Founded in 2007, Ten Health & Fitness is a boutique health and fitness business offering Dynamic Reformer Pilates, Personal Training, Physiotherapy, Clinical Training and Sports Massage Therapy under one roof. With 10 studios and approximately 90 staff across London, their unique approach to health and wellbeing offers clients a collaborative and integrated experience called the Circle of Care.

OVERVIEW

The HR Challenge

An immediate need arose during Covid lockdown to recruit a new HR Manager whilst providing interim HR support during a crucial period of transition back to the work place.

Managing Director, Joanne Matthews reached out to Designated to find an experienced interim HR Manager who could address all their immediate people needs, provide strategic support for future growth and assist in the recruitment of a permanent HR Manager.

 

 

 

The Solution

An interim-HR Manager was immediately appointed to handle all Covid return to work matters, ensuring a smooth transition back to the workplace through clear communications and up to date policies. Employee surveys were conducted to monitor motivation and engagement and any issues or concerns were addressed.

With ambitious growth plans in the pipeline, the HR Manager also worked closely with the leadership team to deliver a succession plan to identify and develop internal talent and meet the key future business needs.

Results

Recruitment was also a priority, and the HR Manager played an active role in the successful recruitment and appointment of a Senior Marketing Manager and HR Manager, and in advising the Recruitment and HR Advisor on all talent acquisition and HR-related matters.

As well as addressing daily people requirements, they managed complex employee relations issues, which were successfully concluded.

Upon the appointment of a permanent HR Manager, the interim HR Manager ensured a comprehensive and thorough handover with the successful candidate, before concluding the assignment.
