Our clients rely on us to take full responsibility for their professional/personal tasks and business management to ensure efficient organisation so that they can concentrate on their core business.  Therefore my working day always starts with listing the day’s priorities, in order to fulfil my role as an executive Virtual PA.

Due to the nature of the extensive services we offer, my tasks are incredibly varied which is why organisation is key.  One of my clients has tasked me with researching a unique once-in-a-lifetime holiday to Asia, to celebrate his 40th wedding anniversary.  These challenges are always interesting.  As a team, we pool our knowledge and experiences.  I always like to start a mini ‘team forum’ on WhatsApp, to share ideas.

This morning I am multi-tasking to the max’… I’m sourcing tickets to the preview evening of Hampton Court Flower Show (arriving by boat), screening nannies to join a family travelling on holiday to Majorca this weekend, and contacting my favourite caterer and florist to discuss an upcoming 50th birthday party in Dublin.  So much to do, so little time!

Lunchtime is looming and I catch the train into Covent Garden to meet one of our new clients, a successful entrepreneur.  I am joined by Jane (Founder of Designated PA) for lunch at the Ivy Market Grill, to discuss marketing strategy and lead generation.

Post-lunch, I walk to Somerset House to check on arrangements for an intimate dinner I am co-ordinating in the Courtauld Gallery, amongst the Impressionist masterpieces.

I am currently working closely with a client to copywrite a new marketing brochure.  This is a task that demands organisation, accuracy and concentration – it’s an afternoon of formatting and reviewing.  Once the first draft is complete, I switch focus onto comparing mobile phone tariffs and other utilities suppliers, for a client moving house shortly.

The role of a VA can be diverse; from daily admin and diary management, to co-ordinating private events, bookkeeping, personal lifestyle organisation, or project research, to name but a few.  It’s this diversity that keeps the role stimulating, challenging and enjoyable – and why we’re glad to work for you!
