One of the many brilliant things about working with Designated PA is the array of different people and companies you get to work with. No two days are the same. Plus working virtually offers no end of benefits.  I am able to happily balance my life as a mother with my working life. I can flit between changing nappies and delighting clients.

Instead of me being in a state of panic trying to get my 16month old son to nursery and myself to work, all without having a mental breakdown, I can wander down to the nursery, go to the gym (if I’m being particularly smug) and then come back and start my working day.

I find that because I’m not desperately rushing from one thing to another, I’m able to give my full attention to every task I do. So when I sit down to work my focus is entirely on that and my clients. I have a few different clients, from private individuals, to entrepreneurs. But when Designated PA became a corporate sponsor of the Peter Jones Foundation* I was thrilled to be asked to take on the role working with them.

I have been working with them for about six months now, and have been primarily focussed on helping them get ready for their annual fundraising events which has entailed:

Building a list of companies that may be able to donate products for goody bags for a charity shoot day to raise funds for young people’s futures. There are around 150 guests at the shoot day, these will include celebrities and other successful, high net-worth business people, who will come together to support Peter with the work of the charity. Following that, I then went on to help with research for the auction that will also take place at the event. Contacting companies to donate anything from sporting memorabilia to dinner at a Michelin Star restaurant to a luxury holiday break.

I love working with the Foundation, they have really made me feel like one of the team. On starting I was immediately introduced to everyone and I’ve been included in team meetings at the office. They have made it very clear that their door is always open should I want to get out of the house and work in their office.

What the team does is really fantastic and it’s a pleasure being able to work with them in any capacity. Come June I will be moving to work with their Marketing team instead  – variety is the spice of life as they say.
